Arrival Condition: Ravis is currently tainted with a disease called On his world, Starscourge. Where he is from, it is a disease that will ultimately kill and turn one into a monster if it is not properly treated. We do have proof that Ravis will be able to live at least a decade with this, but that he is undeniably tainted. Given the situation of the game, it is not a disease that he can pass to another, but in theory it might be curable by some means. In addition, he lacks his left arm and uses a metal powered prosthesis. So long as he has this true curing does not seem very likely. New prosthesis could be acquired, but he wouldn't know how to go about it.

Personality: Ravus is a man driven by anger, grief and desire for revenge. He blames many parts of the world for the conquering of his nation, the capture and control of his sister, and of course, the death of his mother. That said, he does not often apportion the blame properly and lashes out in anger rather at his mother's former allies, who he believes failed to save her, rather than the country that actually caused her death. In fact, this continues to the point where he ultimately joins said conquering country to serve in their military. Throughout his time there his aspiration is to acquire vengeance upon those he blames for his mother's death, and actually conceives of the whole plan for the assault upon Insomnia. His anger and desire for revenge does not stop there though, as he realizes that his sister's life is basically doomed as sacrifice to fulfill a prophecy of the gods. Therefore he lashes out at them as well, working with Niflheim to try and slay the gods in hope that this will actually help protect his sister and spare her life. Of course this does not work.
There is also a good measure of pride in Ravus and all of his actions. Part of this seems to be derived from the fact that he was of high nobility in his country, born of a line ancient as time immemorial and known to be tied to the ability to heal the world. Now, while Ravus himself as a man does not possess that ability, he also was meant to serve as a protector for his sister. Even after the fall of their country, his form of protectiveness of her seems to continue on, though in a different mean. Rather than being at her side directly as a defender, he gives himself to the military not just as a form of vengeance, but to try and ensure that his sister has some degree of freedom. Yet his pride is also so deep that he believes that it is possible to actually kill the gods, and more than once helps take the lead in this aim. His pride also causes him to believe that he himself could potentially fulfill the prophecy of the King of Light, causing him to seize the ring of the Lucii eye, and because he was not worthy to lose his arm. That said, his pride can also be softened. We see late in the game as well as an episode, Ignis, that he is willing to take the lead that his sister set before him when he has no other choice but to recognize that the future really is dependent upon Noctis. He becomes a leader of men for his people, stands tall and despite being tainted with Scourge. He manages to live an additional 10 years so that he can serve at the side of the true King of Light, as he promised his sister.
Most of all, though, Ravus seems to be a man deeply affected by and driven by love. Love for his mother, who he saw killed before his eyes. Love for his sister, who has been set up as one of Fate's whipping boys. Love for his country, which he attempts to surrender himself for the protection of in the original game timeline. With a man whose heart is so driven by love and desire to protect those important to him, it truly comes as no shock that he would go so far off the deep end with his pride and his desire for vengeance. Yet ultimately, it is also because of the love of his sister and his belief in her that he abandons his path in Episode Ignis to work alongside first Ignis to save their loved ones, and then to serve the King of Light and to fight fate. He recognizes Ignis own love and devotion to his king, as well as the love his sister had for Noctus, and assists Ignis in his attempts to defy the will of the greater gods.
Abilities:
Combat Ability - As a royal of the line of Knox Florette, as well as the intended original protector of his sister, the Oracle, Ravus has been trained in use of weapons from a young age. This means that he possesses a high aptitude of skill with a variety of bladed weapons, though his greatest skill is with sabers, as that is his chosen weapon. His martial skills are rather high and he is able to keep multiple enemies as well as large mechanical weapons at Bay with his skills. His skills are still finite though, and with enough trained adversaries, a singular competent combatant at or above his level, or just sheer weight in numbers, he can easily and does prove to fall
Increased Strength - Ravis is in possession of higher than human levels of strength. This is believed to be due to the fact that he is tainted with the Scource And because of the magitech armament that serves as a prosthetic in replace of his left arm. He is seen throwing men far larger than himself, hard enough as to dent the side of vehicles. He is also displayed with the ability to make superhuman jumps from the ground onto the top of large mech units. It is believed that worthy armament to be removed as well as the scourge removed from his body, he would be returned to basic levels of human strength and fitness.
Magitek Arm - Due to his hubris, Ravus lost his left arm when attempting to use the Ring of the Lucii. After this, through the experimentation of Verstael Besithia guided by the knowledge of the Starscourge of Ardyn Lucis Caelum, he gained a prosthetic magitek arm. This arm has high durability and is useful as a blocking implement in combat. In addition to this, it allows him to channel electricity (Please see the next note.) However, because of how this arm works, it is very likely that it is actively killing Ravus with every day that it is still attached to him. In addition, due to the fact that it is powered by the Scourge and therefore has caused Ravis to inherently be tainted with it, Ravis went from having gray eyes to one blue and one purple. While we do not know for sure why one eye is blue, this case the right eye the same side as his still functional arm, purple is a color often associated with the taint of the star scourge. It does thereby imply that he is in fact ill.
Electrical Manipulation (Minor) - Due to his Magitek prosthesis, Ravis is capable of channeling and controlling to some degree electricity. This manifests akin to lightning magic as is presented in this world, but with a purple cast to it. Well, we cannot be certain how the electricity is produced the the power of it does allow him to channel it through his arm, therefore casting it like magic, holding it in his arm as a threat or defensive measure and channeling it through his weapon for physical attacks.
